Hi, my name is Claudia Guillen, and I am a Nurse Practitioner with 18 years of healthcare experience. I began my nursing career in 2004 and graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. My desire to gain a deeper understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology led me to complete my Critical Care Certification through the British Columbia Institute of Technology. After more than 10 years of acute and in-hospital experience in Intensive Care at Royal Columbian Hospital, I went on to complete my Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner through Athabasca University.

My passion for learning and growth as a clinician has allowed me to practise in many areas of healthcare, including neurosurgery, cardiac care, emergency, intensive care, post-operative care, trauma, orthopedics, family practice, urgent care, dermatology, mental health, women’s health, medical weight management, and medical aesthetics. I have also held leadership roles in Critical Care Outreach Programs and as a Clinical Instructor for the Critical Care Program.

As a Nurse Practitioner, I have always enjoyed combining clinical knowledge, precision, and hands-on procedural care. My experience performing in-office surgical procedures naturally led me into medical aesthetics, where I am able to combine my love of anatomy, detail, artistry, and patient-centred care.

Over the past 4 years, I have focused heavily on medical injectable practice, including neuromodulators ( Botox), dermal fillers and advanced skin health planning. I have practised in various clinics as a medical director, lead injector, and trainer, supporting both patients and other providers in safe, ethical, and evidence-informed aesthetic care.

My approach to injectables is grounded in anatomy, facial assessment, proportion, safety, and natural-looking results. I believe aesthetic medicine should enhance and restore confidence while respecting each patient’s individual features. Patient education, informed consent, complication prevention, and personalized treatment planning are central to how I practise.

In addition to aesthetics, I have a strong passion for women’s health, mental health, ADHD care, medical weight management, and wellness from a functional medicine perspective. I believe in looking at the whole person, not just isolated symptoms, and exploring how factors such as nutrition, sleep, stress, hormones, inflammation, metabolic health, and lifestyle can influence overall well-being.

I have over 4 years of experience supporting patients with ADHD, including assessment, education, treatment planning, medication management, and ongoing care. ADHD is often misunderstood and stigmatized within healthcare, and I am passionate about providing a safe, validating, and evidence-informed space where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered. My goal is to help patients better understand themselves, improve daily functioning, and feel more confident accessing care that is respectful, individualized, and evidence-informed.

I believe in a holistic approach to aesthetics and wellness, focusing on the whole person from the inside out. With a patient-centred approach, I prioritize safety, efficacy, education, and personalized care, ensuring that each treatment plan is customized to meet the unique needs and goals of every patient.
